I dont want to spend thousands on a lawyer. I was told a Notary public can do the same stuff for cheaper. Im looking to get a house so I want to use them for things like to make sure my stuff I sign is legit and that there are no leanes on the house Im interested in. Things like that.
A notary does nothing more then verify you are who you say you are.
They don’t know squat about real estate law and can not comment in any way about contracts you sign. They will not know what is liegit and what isn’t and certainly will have no possivble way to determine if liens exist or not.
This is easy for an attorney, it will not cost you more then a hour or two.
